Program Manager
For over 10 years, Mariana has worked as an arts manager in Mexico coordinating cultural projects, producing events, and collaborating with social entrepreneurs. Working in the arts has allowed her to serve causes she supports, such as cultural rights and social justice. She helped create a co-working space and community of entrepreneurs at Mandarina Hub, and collaborated with the sharing economy think tank Ouishare. In 2018, she partnered with Cartonclub, the Latin American Cartoonist Club, to co-produce the region’s first graphic humor festival. With a passion for live arts and film, Mariana has worked with independent dance and theater companies, the Cervantino International Festival, and the Guanajuato International Film Festival. She has also coordinated the post-production of films and series for major streaming platforms.
Mariana holds a BA in Culture and Arts from the University of Guanajuato. In her free time, you’ll find Mariana traveling, exploring local markets, cooking, and thrifting to create a new home with her partner in Philadelphia.
