Alexis Cooper is an arts administration professional passionate about arts, culture, and ideas, and is skilled in bringing these experiences alive through programming and special events. Alexis graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and an “unofficial arts minor” from all her time spent working on artistic projects outside of the classroom. Upon graduation, Alexis transformed her personal commitment to the arts to professional one, and began working in programming, production, and artist services for several performing arts organizations in the D.C. area.
In these roles, Alexis was responsible for ensuring the seamless production for events and programs for artists and audiences, and through doing so realized her passion for building partnerships and supporting artists and other arts administrators to create dynamic creative experiences. Outside of the office, Alexis is a “retired” violinist, an avid baker, and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking the local trails here in the DMV.
