PRESENTED JULY 29, 2010

No matter what your role is in your organization, working in teams is inevitably a critical part of what you do. Who should be included in the group? How do you get people to contribute? How do you get the most out of the team? In this small group discussion, participating teams explored their questions about how to build, manage and participate in teams so they more effectively achieve their goals with NAS and Professor Margaret Neale.

Dr. Neale is a celebrated expert on group dynamics, organizational behavior, and influence and negotiations at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Professor Neale spent an hour exploring questions about how to deal with the inherent challenges of working in groups. Participants were provided with a recording in which Professor Neale identified common pitfalls of team work and shared proven strategies which was a starting point for the live conversation.
