PRESENTED OCTOBER 8, 2009

To make the big decisions, you need an effective working relationship with your board. What kind of board does your organization have? How does your relationship with your board affect your approach to making decisions? In this small, online group discussion participants explored questions about board engagement and collaboration with NAS and Professor Rob Wiltbank

Professor Wiltbank is an associate professor of strategic management at the Willamette University Atkinson Graduate School of Management and an expert in developing strategy in the face of uncertainty. Professor Wiltbank began the discussion by introducing a framework for analyzing the staff and board relationship.  The majority of the hour was spent talking through participants' questions about board engagement and ways to strengthen board relationships.
