From the Experts: The Importance of Nonprofit Governance

Posted September 14, 2010

Our Strategic Governance seminar (which we are presenting in Chicago, December 2-3) features two expert faculty, Warren Boeker, Ph.D. of the University of Washington and Rob Wiltbank, Ph.D. of Willamette University. Professors Boeker and Wiltbank sat down to talk with us about the critical role of governance in nonprofit organizations. Watch these clips to hear what they have to say, and let us know what your thoughts are about the value and role of the board of directors in arts and culture nonprofits:

Professor Boeker speaks about the value a board of directors can provide to an organization.

Professor Wiltbank speaks about the value of the board of directors in keeping an organization focused on mission.

Professors Boeker and Wiltbank speak about NAS’ Strategic Governance seminar and why it’s  especially important now.
