About Dawn DiPrince
I have an eclectic work/community background, as: non-profit administrator, writing teacher, author, scholar, activist, historian, and commissioner on my local urban renewal authority. Right now, I am the Director of El Pueblo History Museum in Pueblo, Colorado. The museum’s mission is to nurture a sense of history and a sense of place that can build strong and authentic community connections. For this fellowship, I plan to expand my neighborhood memory writing project, using personal writing to empower residents to preserve and protect their own neighborhoods. My ultimate goal is to establish methods of empowerment that can transform my community.
